Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, field-focused Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety compliance on high-profile heavy civil and roadway projects in the Greater Los Angeles area. You will be the primary on-site authority ensuring adherence to Cal/OSHA regulations, driving safety culture, and mitigating risk on active, fast-scaling jobsites.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards on-site
- Develop and deliver safety training programs
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Perform regular safety audits and equipment inspections
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures
- Lead and coordinate safety meetings with the team
- Manage safety documentation and reporting using software tools
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction safety
- Certified Construction Health Safety Technician (CHST)
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Cal-OSHA 30 Hour Certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and risk management
- Proven experience in safety training and incident investigation
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance expertise
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with mobile inspection apps and project management tools
