TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Pulaski, Virginia, 24301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 13:00 - 01:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: Unit has 12 beds. There are 25 staff members. Day shift typically consists of 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 tech. There is a Clinical Coordinator on duty from 7 AM to 3 PM. Night shift has 1 charge nurse and 1 RN after 1 AM. Clinical Coordinator is present from 3 PM to 11 PM. Patient ratios are 4:1 unless in the Fast Track area, which has a lower acuity. Equipment includes Glidescope, bedside ultrasound, EV1000, trauma room, and psych safe room. EMR system used is Meditech. Most recruited skills include BLS, ACLS, PALS. Preferred skills include TNCC and CEN. Typical procedures performed include triaging and stabilizing patients, handling occasional trauma cases, treating a sick elderly population, and addressing occasional pediatric patients. Ideal candidates are driven, fast-paced, and outgoing. Tattoos must not be greater than 50% of exposed area and hair should be of natural color. There are rotating weekends and on-call as needed for department.
