Job Title: Logistics Planning Analyst I

Job Description

The Logistics Planning Analyst I coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within and between departments in alignment with production schedules. This role focuses on reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules, while compiling detailed reports on inventory levels, costs, and related operational data. The analyst supports efficient supply chain and logistics operations by ensuring that materials, staffing, and documentation are accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Examine documents, materials, and products to verify completeness, accuracy, and conformity to established standards and specifications.
• Monitor work processes to ensure that production activities meet quality, schedule, and compliance requirements.
• Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements and to set material priorities.
• Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures, in an accurate and timely manner.
• Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet ongoing and projected production demands.
• Compile and maintain reports on inventory levels, costs, and other logistics-related metrics to support decision-making.
• Analyze data related to supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, labor, and materials to identify trends and support process improvements.
• Accurately document and record customer and client information in relevant systems.
• Apply knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production when reviewing documentation and coordinating materials.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of materials and information across departments.

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and the broader MS Office Suite.
• Ability to analyze data related to supply chain and logistics to support planning and performance tracking.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–2 years of related experience, which may include customer service, data entry, or experience using MS Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as supply chain, logistics, or business, is preferred but not required.
• Internship experience in supply chain or logistics is accepted as relevant job experience.
• Experience in supply chain logistics or similar roles that involve coordinating materials, schedules, and inventory.
• Strong customer service skills to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work with production and shipment schedules and interpret staffing and materials requirements.

Work Environment

This position is based in an office environment and involves mostly individual work, with opportunities to collaborate as needed with a small team. The team structure includes multiple full-time employees and agency staff within a standard office setup. Work is performed primarily on computers using MS Office applications and internal systems to review schedules, manage inventory data, and analyze logistics information.

This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Decatur,IL.
