Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within a school setting
- Understanding of classroom management strategies and child development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and assist with varying student needs
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
- Flexibility and a team-oriented mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or relevant certification is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
- Provide academic assistance and encourage students’ participation
- Assist with supervision during transitions, lunch, recess, and classroom activities
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and safe learning atmosphere
- Offer one-on-one or small-group support to students as needed
- Aid in behavior management and support students with differing abilities
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff, students, and families
