Locums Hospitalist Medicine Physician

A reputable healthcare system in Hudson, Florida is seeking a Locums Hospitalist Physician to provide inpatient medical coverage for an established hospital medicine program. This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a collaborative team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and specialists in a patient-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a broad spectrum of adult inpatient medical conditions and coordinating care across multiple disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Clinical Responsibilities

·Perform inpatient admissions, evaluations, and daily rounding

·Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

·Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans

·Coordinate care with consulting physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary departments

·Manage patient discharges and transitions of care

·Respond to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies as needed

·Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record

·Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and quality initiatives

Qualifications

·MD or DO required

·Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

·Active Florida medical license required or ability to obtain

·Current DEA registration required

·Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
