Position Summary Senior Manager, Communications – Samsung Electronics America – NewYork,NY. Responsibilities Develop and execute the B2C communications strategy for Samsung’s services portfolio, reporting to the Head of Communications & Events. Lead strategic initiatives to raise brand awareness, credibility, and growth of services such as Samsung Gaming Hub, Samsung News, Galaxy Store and Art Store on The Frame. Manage cross‑functional coordination with global teams, supporting business objectives across TV and mobile platforms. Set annual performance metrics and track ongoing progress to accelerate meaningful year‑over‑year growth. Monitor press coverage and industry news, and develop daily updates for executive leadership. Plan, coordinate and lead cross‑team meetings to share PR strategies, updates, and results. Draft executive keynotes, press releases, quotes, blog posts and other communications assets. Refresh and maintain foundational materials such as press pitches, master messaging documents, media lists, event databases, briefing books, and award opportunities. Obtain stakeholder approvals across internal teams and third‑party partners. Maintain a centralized database of press assets and images for global accessibility. Oversee marketing communications for brand consistency via social media, email/newsletter distribution, and internal employee communications. Manage product sampling for press, including procurement, tracking, delivery, "white glove" installation and tutorials. Align with marketing leads on product messaging and key talking points for press materials. Work with the creative director to develop rich media kits, including press images, videos, and logos. Build and nurture relationships with key reporters across business, consumer, and tech press. Maintain an editorial calendar across multiple teams. Secure and execute speaking opportunities, background briefings, and one‑on‑one interviews for senior leadership. Coach and mentor senior leadership to improve communication and presentation effectiveness. Develop crisis communications and risk mitigation plans in collaboration with Corporate Communications. Partner with HR to craft internal communications strategies for key initiatives. Manage external PR agencies, lead weekly calls, review deliverables, and share updates with marketing leads. Negotiate vendor contracts with the legal and operations teams. Contribute to weekly and quarterly MarComm reports and partner with analytics to translate metrics into narrative. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in PR/communications with in‑depth knowledge of consumer, tech and business media. Agency experience is preferred, but not required. Proven track record of developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies. Extensive understanding of the OTT landscape and competitive TV/mobile ecosystems. Superior written and verbal communication skills with executive presence. Experience creating and presenting strategy plans and recap decks to leadership. Proficiency in deck creation and design. Experience in risk mitigation and corporate reputation management. Foundational knowledge of other communication channels, including social media and email. Skills & Abilities Strong PR acumen and instinctual strategic decision making. Ability to juggle multiple high‑priority projects while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Exceptional writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to grammar, syntax, punctuation, and spelling. Drive to push boundaries, continuously improve, and exceed performance expectations. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and continuous change in a fast‑paced environment. Cross‑organizational collaboration and influence skills. Bias for action with ability to manage one’s own time and that of others effectively. Salary Salary range: $170,000–$190,000.
