Trial & Litigation Attorney (7+ years)

Senior Litigation Attorney (Of Counsel) – California (Multiple Offices) Our client, a well-established California-based midsize law firm, is seeking an experienced litigation attorney (of counsel) to join its Trial & Litigation practice group. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with 7+ years of litigation experience who are interested in working on high-profile, complex matters within a collaborative team environment. The position can be based in multiple California offices. The firm’s litigation practice is highly regarded for handling complex and high-impact disputes, including matters involving constitutional law, civil rights, land use, eminent domain, class actions, and other sophisticated litigation. The team is actively engaged in all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, from initial pleadings through trial and appeal. Responsibilities: Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals Develop litigation strategy for complex and high-stakes matters Draft and argue dispositive and other substantive motions in state and federal courts Conduct and defend depositions, interview witnesses, and develop evidentiary records Collaborate closely with colleagues across offices and practice areas Present complex legal and constitutional arguments clearly and persuasively Qualifications: 7+ years of litigation experience Strong experience with law and motion practice, including dispositive motions Proven ability to build cases for trial, including discovery, witness preparation, and depositions Excellent academic credentials and superior research, writing, and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Experience representing public entities or handling land use or eminent domain matters is preferred This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and motivated litigator to join a firm known for handling impactful, cutting-edge matters while maintaining a collegial and supportive culture.
