Promotes safe working and good housekeeping habits.Maintains current knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and company policies. Seek to promote an attitude of cost and profit consciousness to fellow employeesOversees all equipment and personnel used in the maintenance of the grounds in and around the production areas.Responsibility for all areas dictated by superintendent and managementDirects removal of process spills and leaks and upkeep of buildings, grounds and all plant propertyDirects maintenance of streets inside the plant,Responsible for the care and maintenance of all small mobile equipment to include bobcats, sweepers, pick-up trucks, including hand tools used in housekeeping of the plant.Make daily operating decisions regarding scheduling overtime, write work requests and work orders and report maintenance issues to the maintenance departmentSupport production operations with yard personnel as necessaryConduct close supervision, progress and training of all new employeesContinue self-improvement activities in ground maintenance and supervision of hourly employeesAny other activities requested by the production superintendent and management that is consistent with this job classification and not included above.QualificationsMinimum of GED/High School DiplomaMinimum of two years working in a cement manufacturing environment preferred.Good communication and language skillsDocumented experience in organization, human relations and decision making skills.Proficient in computer usage, Office, Outlook, Kronos, OracleBuzzi Unicem USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
