Job Description
We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our busy family practice office! You will perform a combination of various administrative and clinical tasks. Administrative responsibilities include greeting patients as they arrive, answering phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and updating and filing patients’ medical records.
Responsibilities
Greet patients, verify personal information, and prepare them for appointments.
Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, medications, and other health information.
Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
Prepare exam rooms and maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked supplies.
Collect and prepare specimens such as blood or urine for laboratory testing.
Administer medications or injections as directed
Perform basic clinical procedures such as EKGs, wound care, or blood draws
Schedule appointments, answer phones, and communicate with patients regarding routine questions and instructions.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is a plus!!
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, basic clinical procedures, and electronic health records.
Strong communication, organizational ,attention to detail, and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
