Job Full Description Field Service Technician Location: West Allis, WI Pay: $30.00-$35.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:30 PM Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to join our team in West Allis. This position is responsible for traveling to customer jobsites to set up, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and tear down rental equipment . The ideal candidate will have mechanical, maintenance, equipment, or related experience and enjoy working both independently and outdoors. Experience with rental equipment is helpful, but any strong mechanical or maintenance background will be considered . Training will be provided on the specific equipment and systems. The position is approximately 75% field/outdoor work and 25% shop/indoor work . Responsibilities Travel to customer jobsites to set up and tear down rental equipment Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on rental equipment Work with temporary air conditioning, temporary heating, ground thaw, dewatering/bypass pumping, and related equipment Diagnose mechanical and operational problems and determine appropriate corrective action Inspect equipment and identify unsafe or hazardous mechanical conditions Maintain accurate service records and work orders Document parts and materials used on service calls Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times Communicate equipment issues and recommended repairs to management Assist with equipment installation and jobsite setup Perform routine and annual maintenance on fleet equipment Assist sales personnel and other team members as needed Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment Attend safety meetings and ongoing technical training Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous mechanical, maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, construction equipment, automotive, or related experience preferred Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational problems Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to work independently and manage jobsite responsibilities Professional communication and customer service skills Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to pass a drug test Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation Willingness to attend ongoing equipment and technical training Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials Ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in various positions Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to safely operate tools and equipment Must wear required safety equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hard hat when required What You Can Expect $30.00-$35.00/hour , based on experience Company-provided truck and cell phone Company fuel card and vehicle maintenance Company-insured vehicle Opportunities for seasonal overtime and bonuses Comprehensive benefits package 401(k) plan Tool allowance Paid uniforms Store discounts Ongoing technical and equipment training Opportunity to develop your skills while working with a wide range of professional rental equipment This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys hands-on work, traveling to different jobsites, and solving equipment problems in the field.
