Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry monitoring
• Manage a patient population including stable and weaning ventilator/trach patients, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Administer and monitor insulin drips and other complex therapies, maintaining a 4:1 patient ratio
• Float to other inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity areas
• Complete documentation and patient care tasks independently in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (firm requirement)
• Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
• Ventilator and trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred
