Job Description

The Quality Control Tech is to ensure that all product testing is performed regularly, accurately, and fall within required parameters.

Responsibilities

1. Must work in a safe manner and enforce safety rules with other employees. Conduct SLAM prior to performing each task.
2. Ensure that samples are taken regularly and accurately.
3. Prepare daily paperwork and enter data into computer.
4. Monitor the collection of raw storage building samples and mill samples every day by the Lab techs.
5. Monitor material quality to ensure product is within specified parameters.
6. Obtain product samples for main office once per month.
7. Obtain samples for special customer requests and spec products
8. Monitor dust and pH levels in product.
9. Perform product density test, hardness test, moisture test, and oil/water absorption tests.
10. Maintain shift paperwork on all samples.
11. Ensure lab is clean and orderly
12. Report any problems with product to lead person and manager
13. In addition to the above, tasks and projects may be added on a temporary or permanent basis as deemed necessary by management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required.
• Minimum of 1 year of in similar capacity preferably in mining
• Lab (Quality Control) experience a plus.
• Basic computer skills needed.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Good verbal and written skills.
• Physically capable of standing for entire shift.
• Climbing, and occasional heavy lifting are required
