Seasonal Pool Server Assistant – Omni Viking Lakes Hotel The Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is part of a 200‑acre mixed‑use development in the Viking Lakes area, home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, and TCO Stadium. Staff will support over 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space and serve guests in a resort‑style environment. Responsibilities Report for scheduled shifts on time and in the assigned uniform. Maintain a professional, neat, well‑groomed appearance. Assist in bringing food and beverage to guests in the pool area and cabanas. Set up and break down an expo line (garnishes, condiments, serving utensils, ice) before and after service. Set up and break down bus stations, keeping all items stocked and cleaned. Clear lounge chairs and tables of non‑essential items during each course; bring dirty plates and glassware to side stations or return to bar appropriately. Pick up liquor and food requisitions from the on‑site storeroom. Assist servers to ensure quality service and a positive working environment. Enforce guest‑related pool policies and standards. Work safely and follow all Omni Safety and Loss Prevention standards. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience as a food server highly preferred. Excellent communication skills; able to engage guests professionally and courteously. Ability to work weekends and holidays. Licenses & Certifications Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required prior to employment. Completion of CA Food Handler’s Card training, provided upon hire. Compensation & Benefits Salary starts at $14.50/hour. Part‑time associates may elect dental, vision, and other healthcare benefits. Physical Demands Regular standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Frequent exposure to outdoor weather and wet conditions; ability to handle hot and cold environments. Required visual acuity to adjust focus and close/distance vision. Work Environment Work often occurs outdoors and in hospitality settings. Exposure to wet or humid conditions, hot or cold temperatures, mechanical equipment, fumes, and moderate weather noise.
