Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology

Join our dedicated team at a leading outpatient cancer center in Coos Bay, Oregon, seeking a Locum Oncology/Hematology provider! This facility is committed to offering high-quality care with a focus on timely diagnosis and treatment. Practice Details:

  • Full-time position with a required commitment of 4 weeks per month.
  • Work within a clinical patient care team as a medical oncologist/hematologist.
  • Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records.
  • Engage in both administrative and direct patient care.
  • Call schedule involves 7 days of call, including one weekend, with a 1 in 4 rotation.
  • Average patient load: 10-15 patients per day in the outpatient setting.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care planning.
  • Perform procedures consistent with your training and licensure in hematology/oncology.
  • Coordinate with relevant specialists to provide multidisciplinary care.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and education.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Support patient management from diagnosis through treatment.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology (Required).
  • Active Oregon medical license (Highly Preferred).
  • Clean background with no malpractice (Highly Preferred).
  • CAQH login and password required at the time of offer.
  • Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges.
  • Must obtain a DEA verbal confirmation at the time of name clearance.
  • Self-query NPDB required, to be conducted within a month of presentation.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
  • Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology.
  • Active medical license in Oregon.
  • Current DEA registration.
