Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (MICU)

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical ICU setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
• Manage complex critical care patients including those with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory failure, shock, multi-organ failure, and post-cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management
• Operate and monitor advanced devices and therapies including CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
• Care for patients undergoing pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal management, and overdose treatment
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records (required)
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient census

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU/MICU experience required
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must be able to complete pre-start modules prior to assignment start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity critical care populations including ECMO and mechanical circulatory support devices
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Familiarity with targeted temperature management protocols and post-cardiac arrest care
