ROLE SUMMARY

The Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and welcoming atmosphere of the facilities. The Housekeeper plays a crucial role in providing an organized and inviting environment, particularly in client rooms and common areas. This position involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including the sanitation of living spaces and communal areas, to promote health and hygiene

COMPENSATION

$15.00 - $16.00/hour

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of client rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Dust and vacuum all surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and carpets.
• Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, and distributing linens.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items in client rooms and communal areas.
• Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, such as vacuums, mops, and cleaning tools, ensuring they are good working condition.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements.
• Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all client information in accordance with facility policy and HIPAA regulations.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and monthly trainings.
• Other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor to support overall housekeeping operations.

COMPANYWIDE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Current CPR & First Aid Certification or willing to obtain
• Must successfully complete Background Check, Drug Screen, and TB Test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience in housekeeping, particularly in healthcare or residential setting.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and stay organized in fast-paced environment.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
• General understanding of the use and misuse of chemicals and alcohol.
• Possess knowledge of HIPAA.
• Preferred candidates should be able to work well within a team and independently, effective communication skills, time management, ability to problem solve, and strong professional boundaries.
• Candidate must be sensitive to religious, ethnic, and cultural differences.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk for prolonged periods, and climb stairs.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to clean low and hard to reach areas.
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming.
