Reports To: Director of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Revised Date: March 2020 FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY
The QP oversees the assigned home(s) and enables the team, residents and families to function at their highest level of competency. This position also ensures that the agency’s policies, procedures and programs are delivered appropriately and that the home remains in compliance with state regulations.QUALIFICATIONS:
Meets the general qualifications for employment as outlined in the Institution’s personnel policies. Must be at least 23 years of age. Must meet requirements for QP - be a college or university graduate with- a master’s degree in related human service field and one year of full time, pre- or post-graduate accumulated experience with the population served, or
- a baccalaureate degree in a related human service field and two years of full time, pre- or post-graduate accumulated experience with the population served, or
- a baccalaureate degree in a field not related to human services and have four years of full time, pre-or post-graduate accumulated experience with the population served.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision: Works under the direct supervision of the Director of IDDM. Participates in 90-day and bi-annual performance evaluations. Prepares for and participates in supervisory conferences with the Director of IDDM. Maintains an open line of communication with all staff, residents and families. Participates in staff training opportunities provided by the Institution and any other agencies as requested by the supervisor, and/or required by the State of North Carolina. General Responsibilities: Manifests in daily action a Christian spirit and lifestyle by incorporating Baptist Children’s Homes (BCH’s) core values and philosophy. Demonstrates a working knowledge and understanding of- the Institution’s structure, services, policies and procedures;

EQUIPMENT:
Ability to operate standard office machines such as copier, computer, fax, calculator, etc. Ability to work within Google, Outlook, Excel, and Word software programs. Must be able to drive a 12-passenger van and get in and out of the van unassisted.LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general information. Ability to effectively communicate with others, including managers, clients, customers, and the public.CONTACT WITH OTHERS:
Regular contact with colleagues in all departments, as well as with outside individuals and groups; should represent Baptist Children's Homes of NC, Inc. in a positive manner. Contacts outside of the agency where proper handling of situations is of utmost importance as the agency’s image could be affected.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Excellent mathematical skills and the ability to use accounting software and calculator to calculate figures.MENTAL / VISUAL / AUDITORY DEMAND:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and ability to draw conclusions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear both in personal and on the telephone.SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the supervision of the Director of IDDM.CONFIDENTIAL DATA:
Complies with agency policies and procedures concerning confidentiality, including payroll, budgeting and HIPPA regulations involving all aspects of client information, which include day to day care of the residents, case records, family information, medical information, psychological services, etc which if disclosed, would have adverse internal and/or external effect, and could result in termination of employment.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive and get in and out of a 12-passenger van unassisted, sit and stand, use hands and fingers, walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift 15 pounds. If working as DSP, will need to assist residents with mobility, and lift up to 50 lbs.WORK ENVIRONMENT:
