Data Scientist

Overview Data Scientist role at Apex Systems. Responsibilities Building tools and establishing infrastructure for an Excel, SQL database and Power BI data flow. Generating reports using large amounts of historical data and extrapolating points of inefficiency. Establishing automation of current manual processes and creating better rules for current automation. Set up and configuration of REST API endpoints. Top MUST HAVE technologies SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL preferred) Power BI DAX Visual code experience Python Pandas Qualifications 2 – 3 years’ experience in data analysis and report writing roles. Independent self-starter attitude Experience developing Power BI Reports and Dashboards. Experience with Microsoft Power BI premium workspace. Capable of advanced calculations in a data set. Ability to work with Excel, SharePoint and Postgres Power BI Data Flows. (preferred) Experience in Utility, Engineering or Construction industries. Strong data base knowledge understanding data types, modeling, and best practices. Integration, API and ETL experience. Candidate should have advanced understanding and experience with data processing and transformation. Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI. Experience using Python with Power BI solutions EEO Employer.
