The Counter Associate role is ideal for those with trade experience looking to move away from installs and into a steady, hands-on position. You'll provide excellent customer service while processing, picking, and staging customer orders, supporting counter, warehouse, and yard operations in a safe and organized environment. Typical Responsibilities Deliver an excellent customer experience by meeting or exceeding customer expectations Assist counter customers by answering questions, identifying needs, and processing sales orders Pick, package, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently, typically within one hour of order release Understand warehouse/yard layout, bin locations, and product inventory Verify orders, label materials, complete documentation, and stage orders in designated locations Handle materials carefully to prevent damage, shipping errors, and inventory discrepancies Operate material handling equipment safely and follow all safety procedures Support stocking, cleanliness, and organization of the counter, warehouse, and yard Build and maintain positive customer relationships and support product promotions Assist warehouse and other team members as needed Maintain regular, reliable attendance and work safely at all times Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent; or 1-2 years of related experience and training; or An equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications & Licenses Ability to pass operator exam and safely operate powered industrial equipment. Must pass a substance abuse screening. Physical Demands & Work Environment Frequently required to walk, stand, talk, hear, grasp, handle, reach, and use fingers. Regularly required to sit, climb, bend, stoop, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs . Must perform essential job functions safely and with consistent alertness. Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color vision.
