Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist (PT) specializing in inpatient acute care is sought for a position in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves providing high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. This position is scheduled for days shifts, with a work schedule of 8 hours per day and at least 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid New Mexico license (pending approval, estimated 3 weeks ETA), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an inpatient acute care setting, and basic proficiency with EMR systems (Epic).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acute care, adaptive devices, gait training, orthopedics, neurology, and post-operative rehabilitation.
• Float: Unless specifically stated otherwise, travelers may be expected to float to similar units within their scope, based on facility needs, and will receive a brief orientation on the unit.
• Additional Information: The position involves working with adult and geriatric patient populations, performing assessments, patient education, and utilizing various skilled interventions such as gait training, safety and injury prevention, and post-surgical rehabilitation, including total hip and knee replacements.
