Job Description Forklift Driver - Loader Checker Walton, KY Compensation Includes * Starting pay rate $20.28/hour Available Shifts * 7:00am - 7:00pm Overview Responsible for ensuring that product is loaded properly on trucks and according to specifications. Must operate forklift in a manner that meets all safety standards. Responsibilities * Complete pre-shift OSHA inspection and related paperwork on forklift truck; clean truck as outlined in procedure * Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards * Keep work area clean and organized, per standards * Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures * Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required * Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner, following all applicable forklift procedures and rules * Report any mechanical problems with forklift so they can be repaired * Load trucks in a manner that they will arrive in good condition, ensuring that product count is correct. Handle all other duties required for loading trucks, i.e., wheel chocks in place, dock plates in place, and jack stands/dock locks in place * Spot-check product for quality * Unload trucks, and check inbound product for accurate counts, quality, and all other duties required for unloading trucks, i.e., wheel chocks, dock plates, jack stands/dock locks in place * Handle general maintenance and housekeeping of entire warehouse area, including sanitation checks on trailers * Know and understand fire prevention rules, policies and procedures * Meet/achieve shipping goals set forth by management Qualifications * High school diploma, GED, or applicable work experience * 1-3 years of experience driving a forklift is necessary * Must be able to pass forklift training * Must be able to operate motorized vehicle and possess a valid state driver's license Physical Requirements * Lifting; a minimum of 50 * Carrying; a minimum of 50 * Pushing * Reaching above shoulders * Use of fingers * Standing * Kneeling * Bending; 6 hours * Operation of forklift narrow aisle or other vehicle * Visual ability * Depth perception * Hearing ability Company Benefits What You'll Get From Us Benefits With safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
