• Partner with Protouch Staffing and join a leading healthcare facility in Sugar Land for an exciting contract opportunity as an Operating Room Technician. If you thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment and have at least 4yrs experience supporting diverse procedures, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact.

  Assignment Details

  • Duration: 13 weeks

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM

  • Pay Rate: $29/hour

  • Employment Type: Contract

  • On-Call: Required

  • Location: Sugar Land Hospital

  • Uniforms: Provided by hospital

  Position Overview

  As an OR Tech, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical teams by ensuring a sterile environment, preparing instruments, and assisting during procedures. This role requires precision, adaptability, and strong collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and other clinical staff.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments before, during, and after procedures

  • Set up operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment

  • Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures

  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow

  • Operate and support advanced surgical technologies, including robotic systems

  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols

  • Manage surgical instruments, including sterilization and inventory control

  Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience in multiple surgical specialties, including:

    • General Surgery

    • GYN

    • ENT

    • Orthopedics

    • Urology

    • Vascular Procedures

    • Neuro/Spine procedures

  • Experience working with Mako Robotics and robotic-assisted surgeries

  • Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical protocols

  • Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric surgical experience

  • Prior experience in a high-volume hospital setting
