CNC Operator

CNC Programmer/OperatorThe CNC Programmer/Operator is responsible for reading and interpreting design blueprints, programming the CNC machines, and setup of the machine to desired specifications. This role requires expertise in machine operation, programming, and quality control to produce high-quality parts efficiently.Job ResponsibilitiesBlueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements and parametersMachine Programming: Program CNC machines using software tools such as SolidWorks and FeatureCAM to create precise machining instructionsMachine Setup: Set up CNC machines by installing tools, attachments, and loading raw materials to prepare for productionMachine Operation: Operate CNC Milling machine, a Haas VF-8/40, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to specificationsAdjustments and Calibration: Adjust machine settings and calibrate equipment to meet the desired product specificationsQuality Assurance: Perform quality checks and first article inspections to verify that machined parts meet design and quality standardsEquipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean CNC machines regularly, keeping detailed records of maintenance activities and part productionScrap Management: Manage and remove scrap material from the machine to maintain a clean and efficient workspaceQualificationsExperience: 1+ years of related experience and/or training in CNC machining or an equivalent combination of education and experienceEducation: High school diploma or GED. Additional vocational training or certifications in CNC machining is a plusTechnical Skills: Proficiency in programming CNC machines and using CAD/CAM software.
