Locum Tenens Psychiatrist (Adult Outpatient | Part-Time | Flexible Schedule)

Location: York, PA
Schedule: 2 shifts per week (flexible days/times between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday)
Duration: 8 Week Contract| Option to expand to full-time with another corrections facility if interesteed*

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Adult Psychiatrist to provide part-time outpatient coverage for our behavioral health program in York, Pennsylvania . This role offers a flexible weekday schedule totaling 14 hours per week (2 shifts).

This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist seeking a steady, predictable caseload and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Assignment Details

• Setting: Corrections Facility

• Hours: 14 hours per week (2 shifts); flexible scheduling between 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

• Team Composition: Psychiatrists, psychologists, and licensed counselors/social workers

• Caseload: Approximately 250–300 patients total , with about one-third requiring medication management

• Support: Collaborative treatment planning and clinical coordination with on-site team

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management for adult patients

• Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of treatment

• Maintain thorough, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

• Participate in care coordination and team discussions as needed

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

• Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration

• Experience in outpatient or community psychiatry preferred

• Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment

Compensation & Terms

• Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience and market rates)

• 1099 locum tenens contract

• No call, weekends, or holidays required
