The Department currently concentrates its efforts on Securities Lending oversight, Operations and Control Testing and Third-Party Vendor Risk Management.What You Are Good At:Analytical ability – Able to effectively review information and data in order to identify issues and opportunities;Communication – Must be able to effectually communicate verbally and in writing with senior level leadership;Initiative - Proactively look for opportunities to enhance our risk management framework;Building Relationships – Connecting with others in a way that fosters trust and creates collaborative relationshipsResponsibilities:Distribute daily Fixed Income risk reports to monitor inventory levels and hedging strategyCoordinate and manage firm-wide initial and ongoing due diligence process for vendor managementPreserve the framework for monitoring of the securities lending businessResearch new counterparties and establish credit limits during onboardingEvaluate existing counterparties for financial stability and adjust limits accordinglyCreate hypothetical scenarios to assess exposure and review collateral obligationsMonitor adverse contract differences, concentration thresholds and limit breachesEvaluate risk exposure and report deviations of concern to senior managementCompile presentations and identify outliers for a weekly Operations meetingInterface with internal and external auditors to evaluate Janney's control environmentPerform and manage the annual Compliance Report for CFO certificationLiaison between Grant Thornton and operational control ownersDevelop and execute tests to ensure internal controls are operating as intendedSupport Trading, Compliance, Operations, IT and Finance to meet their regulatory obligationsCreate Form Custody Report on quarterly basis as an addendum to the FOCUS filingMonitor suspense account balances and confirm managerial review of activityDevelop and implement AI use cases to drive efficiency and streamline processesWhat You Have:Four year college degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience requiredOver three years of work experience in financial services preferredCritical thinking skills, able to analyze scenarios and communicate the results effectivelyTeam player with a sense of initiative and ability to execute with minimal directionProfessional with relationship building skills who can collaborate across business linesAttention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essentialWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel is requiredKnowledge of SQL and Capital Markets trading platforms would be a plusBenefits: Janney believes that its employees are the key to what makes a great company.
