Requirements

Must Have

Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience

Level 1 Trauma experience

Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS

PALS

TNCC

Basic Cardiac Rhythm (EKG competency required)

Key Skills

Emergency/Trauma nursing

Drips: Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed

Strong critical care and rapid response skills

Unit Details:Beds: 61 + surge capacity

Average Census: 61+

First-time travelers accepted

Patient Population

Chest pain, strokes, diabetes

Abdominal pain, MVCs (trauma)

Hypertension, stabbings

Mental health cases

Patient Ratios

RN: 1:4 (based on zone)

LPN: 1:4

Tech/CNA: 4–6 per shift

Phlebotomy Team

PICC Team

Respiratory Therapy (24/7)

Hospitalist & Intensivist (24/7)

Central Telemetry Monitoring

Equipment & Systems:EMR: EPIC

IV Pumps: Alaris

Medication System: Pyxis

Monitors: Philips

Scheduling & Expectations

Weekend Rotation: 5–6 weekends out of 12 shifts (6-week schedule)

Floating: May float to Baldwin facility if needed

Schedule Cycle: Every 6 weeks
