The position requires an OR tech with strong joint and ortho experience. Two years of experience is required, and first-time travelers will be accepted. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a day shift of 4x10 hours from 07:00 to 17:30. BLS certification is required, and CST, NBSTSA, or NCCT certification is preferred. Every third weekend is required. Holidays will be required as scheduled. Floating and on-call duties are not required. Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with ambulatory OR, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, and aseptic techniques. Experience in case cart assembly, sterilization, and instrument processing is essential. The candidate should also know about decontamination, preparation of hard instrument containers, and pressure ulcer prevention. Strong skills in specimen handling, wound care, and total hip and knee replacements are necessary. Knowledge of the universal protocol and crash cart procedures is a must. Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope without restrictions. Compliance documents must be submitted by the specified deadline prior to the start of the position. Max requests for time off are limited to 7 days. Most locations allow for one major holiday off during the winter season. Exceptions regarding return traveler and staff policies apply. The onboarding process will include required lab tests.
