Description/Notes:

The primary duties of the Assistant Superintendent of School Leadership are to oversee and supervise the overall operation of the schools in the district.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Master’s degree; Doctorate degree preferred
Appropriate valid Texas administrator certification
Certified instructional supervisor and appraiser in Texas Teacher Evaluation and
Support System and Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS; T-PESS)

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional leadership roles as a principal or above
Minimum of 3 years of experience at the district senior leadership level as director or above
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

General Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to apply personal computer and spreadsheet skills
Ability to speak on demand to large groups of people
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and school community
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with campus leadership
Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board policies

Salary Range:

$136,591 - $162,607 dependent upon experience
