Industrial Systems Project Manager

We are currently seeking an Industrial Systems Project Manager for a client based in Grand Rapids, MI. This position is available due to expansion and offers the chance to oversee projects from start to finish while prioritizing safety, schedule, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects in the industrial systems sector from initiation to completion
• Create project plans, oversee timelines, and coordinate resources
• Track project costs, monitor profit margins, and ensure project profitability
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and customer-specific requirements
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and support future business opportunities
• Generate estimates, budgets, and quotes for project-related resources
• Present proposals clearly and facilitate the move from opportunities to projects
• Provide guidance to team members and encourage improvement in project execution and estimating practices

Requirements

• Educational background in engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects related to industrial HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical systems, or construction
• Familiarity with project planning tools and techniques like Gantt charts and CPM
• Capability to manage project costs, profitability, and schedules while focusing on customer service
• Knowledge of industrial system components, with ammonia experience as a bonus
• Understanding of safety standards such as OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety practices
• Experience in supporting estimating, quoting, and business development activities
• PMP certification is advantageous
• Familiarity with project management tools like Procore, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Bluebeam, or Raken is beneficial
