About the Position

Job Title: ICU Resource Team Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours, weekends only Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience in a large hospital (over 250 beds), Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required. License: ND or compact state RN License Certifications: BLS (must be AHA), ACLS (must be AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: Level 1 or 2 trauma experience with a 250+ bed facility. Experience titrating vasopressor drips (must be included on resume or skills checklist). Ability to care for critically ill patients independently. Description: Candidates must call in each day prior to their shift to determine which critical care unit or location they will be working in. Management of 1-3 critically ill patients, including neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients. Ability to manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips. Assistance with bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests is required. Equipment utilized includes EPIC EMR, Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinet, Aleris IV pumps, MOOG feeding pumps, IABP, EVD, patient monitoring systems, and AvaSure patient monitoring. Nurse to patient ratio for this unit is 1 nurse to 2 patients. All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility. Scrub color is navy blue. Candidates living within a 60-mile radius of the facility cannot be considered. Candidates who have previously worked must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date. No call required. May be required to float to medical-surgical units as needed.
