Along with a fully equipped weight room, football stadium, and athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room & more), Canyon State has it all!Behavioral Health Billing Specialist is responsible for the accurate submission, follow-up, and collection of claims for Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) services across multiple states and Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).This role requires knowledge of Medicaid billing, authorization-driven reimbursement, and multi-state payer requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in behavioral health revenue cycle management.Key Responsibilities:Submitting claims for PRTF per diem services to Medicaid FFS and Managed Care payers and ensuring claims align with approved authorizations and contracted rates.Following up with Medicaid and MCO payers to secure timely payment and maintaining working knowledge of multi-state Medicaid billing requirements.Tracking billed days versus authorized days and maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguard protected health information.Required Qualifications: 2+ years of behavioral health or healthcare billing experience as well as experience billing Medicaid and Managed Care payers.
