You will own features through the full development lifecycle—from design and implementation to deployment and operational excellence while helping shape the future of Illumio's user experience and platform capabilities.Your ImpactDesign, develop, and deliver full-stack features across frontend and backend systems, taking ownership from concept through production deploymentBuild scalable and responsive web applications using modern frontend frameworks and distributed backend servicesContribute to architecture decisions, including frontend infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and application design patternsOwn end-to-end quality, including unit, functional, and integration testing, ensuring robust and resilient software deliveryPartner cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, and backend teams to refine requirements and deliver high-impact featuresOptimize user workflows and application performance, ensuring accessibility, responsiveness, and usability across platformsDevelop and integrate APIs and services to enable seamless communication across distributed systemsMonitor application performance, define metrics, and proactively identify and resolve production issuesContinuously improve code quality, maintainability, and developer experience through best practices and toolingYour Toolkit3–5+ years of professional experience in full-stack or UI-focused software engineeringStrong frontend experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3Experience building backend services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, or similar technologiesSolid understanding of RESTful API design and distributed system communication patternsExperience with modern build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend toolingFamiliarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflowsUnderstanding of performance optimization, browser rendering, and debugging techniquesKnowledge of testing frameworks and best practices across frontend and backend layersExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plusBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)Bonus PointsExperience building microservices or service-oriented architecturesFamiliarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0+) and inclusive design practicesExperience with frontend performance monitoring and metrics (e.g., INP, latency optimization)Exposure to large-scale SaaS platforms or cybersecurity productsExperience working closely with design systems and component librariesOur Commitment:Illumio believes that an environment of unique backgrounds, experiences, viewpoints, and individual contributions drives our success and makes us stronger together.
