Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN / LPN

Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN / LPN – Jet Health, Inc. Denton County, TX and surrounding areas. Primary Responsibilities Provide nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse for patients of all ages in their place of residence. Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary group, patient/family, and referring agency to ensure the best patient outcomes. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Monitor patient health and report any changes to the supervising RN. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Educate patients and their families on health care needs, conditions, and options. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress. Work in patients' homes in various conditions. Possibly work a flexible schedule and travel locally as required. Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Vocational/Practical Nursing. Current State license as a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse or a multi‑state license via the National Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) if practicing in a member state. Must have a current driver’s license. Two years’ experience as a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse in a clinical care setting. Home health experience highly preferred. HCHB experience highly preferred. Proficiency in nursing skills as defined by generally accepted standards of practice; good interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation and valid, current auto liability insurance. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients; requires hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to work under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs. Ability to make quick decisions and acquire necessary resources. Must meet patient/family individualized psychosocial needs.
