Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Contract | Days | 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 64-bed Emergency Department serving newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Manage and treat common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Participate in floating to other units as required
• Perform triage and acute care functions across designated unit areas including trauma, psych, super track, and clinical decision unit

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted New York State RN license (verified via NURSYS)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Experience with block scheduling environments
• Familiarity with specialty equipment used in emergency and trauma settings
