Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric
Aura Search Group is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a 26-week contract in Medford, Massachusetts. This position offers the flexibility of PRN-style scheduling while providing a consistent contract assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Respond appropriately to behavioral health emergencies and changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Practice independently and confidently, including working as the sole RN on duty when required.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Previous psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working independently as the only nurse on shift
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
