Cardiac Cath Lab Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist physicians during Electrophysiology (EP) procedures
• Support structural heart, coronary, and peripheral interventions
• Assist with pacemaker and ICD (Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator) placements
• Prepare and maintain sterile field and procedural equipment
• Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring safety and stability
• Operate Cath Lab equipment and imaging systems efficiently
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Respond effectively in emergency situations within the Cath Lab

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience (REQUIRED)
• Strong Electrophysiology (EP) experience (REQUIRED)
• Prior travel experience (REQUIRED)
• ARRT certification (REQUIRED)
• BLS certification (REQUIRED)
• Active Illinois State License (IEMA) (REQUIRED)
• Hands-on experience with pacemakers and ICDs
• Ability to scrub and assist in complex cardiac procedures
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in high-pressure environments
