In this role, you will ensure accurate packing, labeling, and shipment of prescription orders while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.This position is ideal for candidates with experience in warehouse, distribution, or pharmacy operations who thrive in fast-paced, production-driven environments.What You'll Do (Responsibilities)Accurately pack and label prescription orders according to SOPs and shipping requirementsSort and stage orders by route, carrier, or delivery destination to support efficient distributionReceive and organize incoming materials (e.g., totes, vials, packaging supplies) and prepare outbound shipmentsOperate scanning and packaging equipment (barcode scanners, label printers, sortation systems)Verify order accuracy and ensure shipments meet quality and compliance standardsIdentify and escalate discrepancies such as missing items, damaged goods, or routing errorsMaintain inventory of packing supplies and support workflow organization (staging, batch tracking, tote management)Follow all pharmacy regulations, safety guidelines, and hazardous material handling proceduresBasic Requirements (Must-Have Qualifications)High school diploma or GEDExperience in a warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or production environmentExperience handling inventory, packing, shipping, or receiving processesAbility to operate basic equipment (e.g., barcode scanners, label printers, packing tools)Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting prioritiesStrong attention to detail with demonstrated experience in accuracy and quality controlAbility to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods during shiftsPreferred Skills / ExperiencePrevious experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated environmentFamiliarity with temperature-sensitive or hazardous materials handlingExperience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or shipping systemsCertification or experience operating material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve order discrepancies independentlyTeam-oriented mindset with experience supporting cross-functional workflowsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsPrimarily on-site role in a warehouse or pharmacy production facilityRequires standing/walking for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift)Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving items (10–30 lbs)Repetitive motions including bending, reaching, and handling small itemsExposure to production environments with conveyors, moderate noise, and variable temperature zonesOccasional schedule flexibility may be required, including weekends or extended hoursWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
