TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Bangor, Maine.

SIMPLIFI CLINICAL InterviewS

Experience Required: 1 YEAR PCU. 2 YEARS IF M/S with some PCU. Please ask all travelers about charge experience and include in the offer info if they have/have not worked in a CRN capacity.
- Neuro/Trauma – must have Trauma experience; experience with Stroke patients and performing Q2H neuro checks.
- Medical/Surgical - Highflow O2, chest tubes, Wound Vacs/VAC dressing changes, Bipap, general drain/ostomy care, IV starts, Experience with trached patients on vents (need to know how to administer 100% FiO2 via suction support and silence alarms), trach care and suctioning (RT will educate)
- Cardiac - temporary pacemakers, TR bands, post femoral sheath care, cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- Drips – Cardiac drips (Amio – set rate, Cardizem), Insulin – titrating – decline travelers that do not have Insulin/Cardiac gtt experience.

Will you accept a first-time traveler? no must have completed 2 (13) wk assignments.


Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. (Preferred: AACCN, CCRN)

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Cardiac - STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, AFIB with RVR, s/p Cardiac Cath, s/p Ablation, 24h post op TAVR.

Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 (Days & Nights)

EMR: Cerner highly preferred.

Floating: ED, ICU, CCU if there is an intermediate assignment in one of those departments. CCU patient types (CHF, STEMI, NSTEMI, etc.)

Orientation (facility and unit): General hospital orientation followed by 1 day on the unit.

Scrub Color: any must be professional

Parking: Free in designated areas.
