RN – Pre-Op / PACU / Pre-Post Cath & Procedural Care – Day Shift – Relocation Candidates Welcome

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality perioperative and procedural nursing care in a hospital setting in Great Falls, Montana. Candidates must be proficient in recovering both adult and pediatric patients and comfortable working across a variety of surgical and procedural specialties.

The ideal candidate will have experience in preoperative preparation, post-anesthesia recovery, and pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, along with the flexibility to work varying schedules, participate in call rotations, and cover holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care to adult and pediatric patients.
• Assess patients before procedures and prepare them for surgery or diagnostic interventions.
• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and recognize potential complications.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization patients.
• Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and assess patient recovery.
• Support procedures involving orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, gynecology, general surgery, plastics, endoscopy, and ophthalmology.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Meditech EMR.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and clinical protocols.
• Participate in on-call coverage and holiday scheduling as required.

• Active RN license or ability to obtain the required state license upon acceptance.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience .
• Current BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Proficiency in recovering both adult and pediatric patients.
• Experience in Pre-Op, PACU, cardiac catheterization, or procedural nursing.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and participate in call rotation.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Availability to work holidays as required.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Shift: Days, 9:00 AM–9:00 PM; days may vary.
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week.
• Positions Available: 4.
• Position Urgency: Rapid Response Crisis.
• Call: Required.
• Holiday Coverage: Required.
• EMR: Meditech.
• Overtime: After 40 hours/week, at 1× the all-inclusive pay rate.
• On-Call Pager: $3/hour.
• Call-Back Rate: 1× the all-inclusive pay rate, with a 2-hour minimum.
• Holiday Rate: 1× the all-inclusive pay rate.
