Job Full Description

Overview: We are seeking some qualified forklift operators, to join the work force in the Rankin and Hinds county areas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating powered industrial forklift to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise. This position requires strict attention to safety, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Forklift Operator - $13:00-$15:00

General Job Duties:

• Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack) to move, load, and unload materials.
• Transport pallets and products to designated warehouse locations.
• Stack and organize inventory safely and efficiently.
• Inspect forklifts before each shift (fluid levels, tires, forks, safety equipment).
• Load and unload trucks with accuracy to prevent damage.
• Pick and pull orders according to work orders or RF scanner instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow housekeeping procedures.
• Perform basic forklift maintenance such as refueling, charging, or reporting mechanical issues.
• Verify inventory by counting, labeling, and scanning items.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations during all operations.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when not operating the forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid forklift certification (or company-provided training).
• 2+ year experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs as required.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety rules and best practices.
• Basic math and inventory skills; experience with RF scanners is a plus.
