Staff RN – Maternity / Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Occasional Weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process for maternity and labor and delivery patients
• Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely; implement physician orders as written
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Document the nursing process thoroughly, concisely, and accurately
• Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Direct and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers in the implementation of patient care

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certificate – required
• Current CPR certification
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions in urgent situations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Previous registered nursing experience, ideally in maternity, labor and delivery, or a related specialty
