Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot a large-scale enterprise network across multiple locations
• Manage core routing and switching infrastructure to ensure high availability and fast failover
• Optimize traffic across the network including VLAN management and quality of service for time-sensitive applications
• Administer VPN infrastructure supporting both site-to-site and remote access connectivity across geographically dispersed endpoints
• Manage firewall policies, security zones, and content filtering rules to protect network boundaries without impacting performance
• Engineer and maintain private cloud connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot routing conflicts and asymmetric traffic issues in hybrid cloud setups
• Monitor network health and performance proactively, maintaining baselines to catch degradation before users feel it
• Configure and manage network monitoring platforms for real-time visibility into traffic patterns and device health
• Build alerting workflows that cut through noise and enable fast, data-driven incident response
• Perform deep-dive packet analysis to isolate loss, jitter, fragmentation, and routing loop issues
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and project teams during network changes and deployments
• Contribute to change management processes including testing, documentation, and rollback planning

Required Skills :

• 4+ years in network engineering or infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on knowledge of BGP (path attributes, local preference, communities) and multi-area OSPF
• Experience with Layer 2 WAN technologies - Metro-Ethernet, E-Line, E-LAN
• Familiarity with MC-LAG and high-availability switching topologies; Juniper (MX, EX, QFX) and/or Aruba CX experience a plus
• Experience managing large-scale VPN environments (site-to-site and remote access) and NGFW policy
• Familiarity with Azure ExpressRoute, hybrid routing (BGP advertisements, asymmetric routing, prefix limits), and dot1q/Q-in-Q sub-interfaces
• Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols
• Comfortable with Wireshark and hardware telemetry for packet-level troubleshooting
• Familiarity with QoS and Spanning Tree in high-density switching environments
