Litigation Paralegal

We are looking for a full-time, experienced litigation Paralegal to join our local office in San Diego, California . Position Overview The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. You should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests as needed. Key Responsibilities Conduct legal fact and basic legal research. Assist with comprehensive case management. Organize and electronically file pleadings. Review and draft routine legal documents. Create, update, and maintain detailed case files. Keep organized schedules and provide timely deadline reminders. Request public records from first responders via FOIA requests. Request, track, and summarize medical reports and bills. Qualifications Candidates must meet at least one of the following educational criteria: An ABA-approved paralegal certificate. A certificate from a paralegal program with at least 24 semester units (or the equivalent) in legal studies from a state-approved or regionally accredited college or university. A bachelor's degree in any field, plus at least one year of law-related experience under the supervision of a California attorney (with a written declaration of qualification from the supervising attorney). Required Experience & Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent. At least two years of California civil litigation experience, preferably on the defense side. Strong detail orientation with robust drafting skills for pleadings, discovery, and correspondence. Familiarity with California court rules and procedures, or the ability to quickly locate and apply them.
