Retail Banker III:

• Receives and pays out money
• Keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in various banking and other financial transactions
• Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amounts, and examines checks for endorsements
• Cashes checks and pays out money upon verification of signatures and customer balances
• Handles other transactions such as selling gift cards, processing credit card advances, and accepting loan payments
• Applies policies to customer situations with a customer focused approach
• Balances cash drawer daily
• Opens Deposit Accounts (Checking, Savings, IRAs, CDs)
• Performs account maintenance
• Accepts loan applications and interviews applicants
• Assists with completion of daily branch tasks such as: cash ordering; verification of branch logs; ATM and TCR balancing and cash preparation, verification of Currency Transaction Reports, branch reports/assessments; assist Branch Manager with acceptance of loan applications and process of loans to include computing debt to income information, interpreting credit reports and preparing and packaging loan documents; familiar with loan approval, denial process and reporting of past dues
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Skills and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associates degree or higher preferred. Concentration in Business preferred
• 1-3 years banking, customer service or cash-handling experience preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for exceeding customer expectations
• Exceptional computer and technology skills
• Ability to connect and build relationships
• Ability to organize, multi-task and make sound decisions
