Overview
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) – travel assignment in Watertown, New York. Start date: 11/02/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $759-$798 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 8-hour days, 5 days per week (typical schedule 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). Setting: hospital operating room. This assignment is a travel temporary position.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in the operating room, including patient preparation, sterile technique, draping, instrument counts, and room turnover
- Circulate and assist anesthesia team as assigned; monitor patient status and document intraoperative events
- Ensure OR readiness: manage equipment, sterilization of instruments, and maintain a safe aseptic environment
- Assist with patient positioning, lifting safety, and use of lifts to move patients as needed
- Demonstrate knowledge of OR/ASU instrumentation; interpret lethal dysrhythmias and respond per protocol
- May assume duties as a charge nurse and provide leadership to the OR team; participate in on-call coverage with a 30-minute response time

Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- OR/ASU experience preferred; strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and OR equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment; effective communication and leadership skills
- Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
- On-call availability with a 30-minute response time
