Job Description

The Pharmacy Assistant supports a high-volume Central Fill pharmacy in Everett, WA that supplies patient-level prescriptions for a large national retail chain. In this automated refill center, you perform hands-on warehouse and production tasks such as packing prescriptions, receiving and shipping orders, and preparing products for delivery to retail locations. This fast-paced, safety-focused, and team-oriented role offers the opportunity to grow within a leading organization in the pharmaceutical healthcare supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Work in an automated refill center to support high-volume prescription processing and distribution.

• Process patient prescription orders for shipping in an accurate and timely manner.

• Fold and pack patient paperwork with prescriptions to prepare orders for shipment.

• Sort patient orders by store location and place them in totes for shipping.

• Load prepared product and totes onto trucks for delivery to retail locations.

• Perform warehouse operations including pick, pack, and ship activities in a production environment.

• Review operational reports to identify and correct errors before orders leave the facility.

• Comply with all policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain safety and quality standards.

• Follow prescription refill workflows and healthcare support processes as directed.

• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment to meet productivity and quality goals.

• Participate in training opportunities to build skills and support continuous improvement in pharmacy operations.

Essential Skills

• WA State Pharmacy Assistant License, or the ability to apply for the license upon acceptance of the position (license typically processes in 1-2 weeks).

• 0-1 year of experience in a pharmacy production environment or similar setting.

• Experience or familiarity with pharmacy support tasks such as prescription refill processing.

• Experience with data entry in a healthcare or warehouse environment.

• Experience with pick, pack, and ship operations or warehouse fulfillment.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly.

• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of an 8+ hour shift.

• Ability to perform frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping during the shift.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packing, sorting, and order review.

• Ability to follow written procedures, SOPs, and safety guidelines consistently.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is beneficial.

Work Environment

This role is based on-site in a Central Fill pharmacy facility in Everett, WA. The environment is fast paced, high volume, and highly automated, with a focus on pick, pack, and ship operations for prescription refills. The position follows a Monday through Thursday schedule from approximately 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 7:00am-3:30 p.m.. You must be available for mandatory overtime, which is regular and often up to 1 additional hour per shift, and occasionally up to 2 additional hours following major U.S. holidays. You will spend most of your shift standing and walking, with frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping, and you will regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds. This is a Contract position based out of Everett, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.95 - $20.95/hr.
