Vendor Manager

Job Responsibilities Manages and optimizes relationships with key vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services Monitors vendor performance and enforces contract terms to ensure compliance and analyzes vendor costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements Collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement strategic planning and best practices in vendor and supplier relationship management and risk management Prepares and presents reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to leadership Act as a liaison between internal teams—such as Credit Strategy, Fraud Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Legal—and external partners to ensure seamless solution integration and timely delivery of capabilities Education and Work Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required) Master’s/Advanced Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Preferred) 2-4 years implementing strategic planning and best practices in procurement and risk management (Required) 4-7 years managing and optimizing relationships with vendors in a corporate setting (Required) 4-7 years analyzing vendor costs and managing budgets to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements (Required) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Vendor Management – Expertise in managing and optimizing relationships with vendors to ensure efficient procurement and compliance with contract terms (Required) Strategic Planning – Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals and optimize vendor relationships (Required) Negotiation – Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and manage costs effectively in vendor contracts (Required) Analytics – Proficiency in analyzing vendor performance metrics and cost data to identify improvement opportunities (Required) Risk Management – Capability to assess and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships and procurement processes (Required) Reporting & Analysis – Ability to prepare detailed reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics for leadership review (Required) Microsoft Excel – Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling related to vendor management (Required) Communication – Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors (Required) Problem Solving – Strong problem‑solving abilities to address and resolve issues that arise in vendor management and procurement processes (Required) Leadership – Leadership skills to guide and influence internal teams and manage relationships with strategic vendors (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS (Preferred) Supply Chain Management (CPIM) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS (Preferred) Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI (Preferred) Legal Requirements At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Travel – Travel Required (Yes/No): No DOT Regulated – DOT Regulated Position (Yes/No): No – Safety Sensitive Position (Yes/No): No Base Pay Range: $82,200 - $148,200 Corporate Bonus Target: 15%. The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
