Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care in the ICU unit. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, adhering to clinical protocols, and ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech electronic system.
• Respond to emergencies, including the administration of vasopressors and other critical procedures.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including infection control, dress code, and unit-specific guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas RN license with current certification.
• Minimum of 2 years' ICU experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proficient in Meditech; experience with vasopressors and critical care procedures preferred.
• Able to work 7a-7:30p or 7p-7:30a shifts, with rotating weekends.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
