Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (Part-Time)

New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is adding a part-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi . Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center. To this day, Jacobi remains a respected leader in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women's health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

• Direct supervision of OMFS resident staff.

• The candidate will be part of a growing OMFS Department that includes a strong infrastructure of support with the present attending staff in OMFS.

• Participation in daily rounds of in-patients.

• Scholarly activity with resident education program and mentorship of research initiatives.

• Educational conferences and presentations to faculty and residents across all disciplines.

• Growth of Craniofacial Division to include treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Cleft Palate Repair.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).

• MD Degree Preferred.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

• Active New York State Dental License.

• Active New York State Dental Anesthesia License.

• Fellowship Certificate of training preferred; however, not required.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $201,000* (board eligible); $207,000* (board certified) based on 24-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $300,620** (board eligible) and $307,220** (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.

• Projected bonus of up to $24,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):

  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.

• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
