About the Role The Legacy Trainer/Coach delivers exceptional P.I.T. sessions that embody our NO DAYS OFF philosophy while building relationships that last. We are looking for hunger, a deep desire to succeed and to better yourself, and a person who never takes a day off on themselves or their clients. Off Las Olas, you help grow Legacy's community and turn newcomers into lifelong members. The P.I.T. System Partner Interval Training (P.I.T.) is the heart of every Legacy gym. We built it more than 15 years ago and have refined it ever since, pairing antagonistic movements to drive results that are grounded in science. P.I.T. is the energy of the room. It is the reason new members walk through the door, and it is the engine that turns a trainer's personal training and instruction into real income. Members drop body fat and build muscle, improve cardiovascular markers such as heart rate variability (HRV), and gain the mental and emotional lift that comes from training beside other people — building a community that has sparked friendships, marriages, business deals, and more than a few babies. No other gym can copy it. The Facility: Legacy Fort Lauderdale Just off Las Olas, Legacy Fort Lauderdale is a 10,000 square foot space, newly renovated and built to give everyday people a professional experience: A full open gym floor and personal training area, built around our patented P.I.T. system A coed sauna and cold plunge built for longevity and recovery Professional athlete-level physical therapy and recovery on site A newly renovated space that reflects the Legacy standard Fort Lauderdale is one of Legacy's youngest, hippest, and most vibrant communities. Set in the heart of the city's fast growing residential corridor just off Las Olas, surrounded by new towers and thousands of incoming residents, it is one of the most exciting places in South Florida to build a fitness family. This is not a brand new experiment — Legacy has a real history of operating and serving the Fort Lauderdale community, and we are investing to take it to the next level. What You'll Own Deliver elite P.I.T. Write approved push, pull, and cardio workouts, build energetic playlists, arrive 30 minutes early to set up, and coach every rep with enthusiasm and form correction. Build a personal training book. Deliver 3 to 5 hours of personal training per day, growing a loyal client base that sets a clear path toward six-figure total compensation. Build relationships and retention. Learn names, understand goals, hold members accountable, and give them the motivation to keep coming back. Close First Timers. Connect authentically, build trust, overcome objections, and convert prospects into members. Prospect daily. Visit local businesses, follow up with First Timers, post with clear calls to action, and create at least one new relationship per day within our radius. Hold the standard. Keep the turf, desk, and recovery areas clean, check members in, and keep the facility reflecting the Legacy standard. Master Arketa. Check members in, enter sales accurately, add notes, follow up on payment failures, and keep records clean. What You Bring A hospitality or service-first background, ideally forged in a disciplined team environment such as college athletics or the special forces A belief that community-driven workouts and engagement are the tailwind in fitness, and a desire to help optimize results and shape the next generation of wellness offerings Hunger and a deep desire to succeed and better yourself — you never take a day off on you or your clients Personal training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, or equivalent) 1+ years coaching group fitness or personal training A proven ability to motivate and inspire all fitness levels Strong sales skills and comfort closing memberships Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days) Bonus Points Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field Experience with Partner Interval Training, HIIT, or bootcamp-style workouts Proven track record of membership sales and client retention Knowledge of form and exercise modifications for all levels Social media experience and personal brand development Bilingual (English/Spanish) Your Upside This is not a job where you punch a clock.
